Oh Heart..
Oh Heart...
Find rest oh heart,
Your salvation lies beyond your grave.
At ease my heart!
Submit!
You are but a slave.
Let go of the love of this world
Let go of your foolish desires
Oh dear heart, let go.
Sacrifice in the Name of your Lord
All the things that you hold
So close, so dear.
It is your Lord and His displeasure that you should fear.
Oh heart, love Allah and He will love you.
It is certainly true.
To Him you soon return,
For that you, dear heart, should yearn.
Find rest oh heart,
Your salvation lies beyond your grave.
Be patient dear heart
Indeed you are but a slave.

As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah,
Bismillahir Rehmaanir Raheem
The purpose of life is to worship Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, and dua is the crux of worship.
Dua: The weapon of the believer Video: Yasir Qadhi (click on link)
Dua: Goes hand in hand with tawakkul (trust and hope in Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala) Dua is the essence of worship: calling to The One, the Only One who can actually help you and Who actually deserves to be called upon. The One who is As-Samad, The Satisfier of every need; upon Whom everything depends but He depends on no one and nothing. Dua is calling upon the Creator, the Sustainer, the Supreme Answerer. [Calling out to other than Allah is the essence of shirk]
"And your Lord says: Pray unto me: and I will hear your prayer" [40:60]
Dua is a very personal form of worship; we call directly The One, our Creator, our Sustain-er, Al-Mujeeb: the Answerer. And when we call upon Him privately, and sincerely, and full of humility; it's a very sincere form of worship.
"Call upon your Lord humbly and in secret" [7:55]
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is indeed near, He hears our call even when we pray silently. He sees every tear that crawls down our cheek, and hears every whisper that emerges from our lips as we call to Him subhanahu for mercy and help. It is of the etiquettes of dua to pray silently, for Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is Al-Sami, the All-hearer and He is near.
"When My servants question thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them): I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calleth on Me" [2:186]
The dua of a believer is accepted!! SubhanAllah, look at Allah azzawjal's mercy! He subhanahu has provided us with a way out of everything, with a solution to all wants and needs, DUA!! A direct link to the source of all solutions. Truly, all praise is due to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
When we make dua we affirm the Greatness of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. We affirm our status of being Allah azzawjal's slaves and being dependent on Him subhanahu for everything.
Dua: The weapon of the believer video: Yasir Qadhi (click link)
May Allah azzawjal grant us the tawfeeq to turn to Him subhanahu in times of ease and in times of hardship in gratitude.
BarakAllahu feekum,
wa'salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah

Star light star bright....
Sitting under the sky at night....
gaze up in wonder...
a speck of light in a vast void of darkness...
such brilliance and beauty in the tiniest entity...
ponder the Magnificence of the Creator Who has beautified a dot in the sky...
Only Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, Al-Mussawir, Al -Khaliq, could make a speck so absolutely gorgeous and magnificent.
We seek stars out, we search for them at night, we enjoy sitting and just gazing at them, spending time just staring at them. One speck in the large dark sky.
A star is merely a fleck of light, a small dot, a needle point, yet it's breath taking....
Imagine putting a dot on a blank dark piece of paper and having it look amazing...
And to think, in actuality, billions of light years away, its a ball of gas that's already died...
"And indeed, We have put the big stars in the heaven and We beautified it for the beholders."
[Al Hijr 15:16]
"Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). " [As Saaffat 37:6]
Subhaan Allaahi wa bi hamdih, ‘adada khalqihi, wa ridaa nafsihi, wazinata ‘arshihi, wa midaada kalimaatihi
"Glory and praise be to Allaah, as much as the number of His creation, as much as pleases Him, as much as the weight of His Throne and as much as the ink of His words"

Who’s your emergency call? Who do you trust, who do you go to for help?
“You (Alone) we worship and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).”
If we worship Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala it implies, therefore, that we believe in complete dependence on Him subhanahu. We believe in all His Glorious names and attributes; In His eternal Perfection. All of creation is in need of Him, and He subhanahu is in need of no one. He is As-Samad, The Self-Sufficient and He is the source of all aid. Then why turn to anyone else for anything? Why turn to the dependent creation, when we can turn to the Independent Creator and get what we need directly?
So Trust Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala with your affairs:
فَٱعۡبُدۡهُ وَتَوَڪَّلۡ عَلَيۡهِۚ
“…Worship Him and put your trust in Him.” [11:123]
“He is the Lord of the East and the West; there is no god but He; so take Him for a guardian.” [73:9]
“Say He is All-Merciful. We believe in Him, and we put all our trust in Him.” [67:29]
Putting all our trust in Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala, in Al-Rehmaan, Al-Wakeel, is the solution to all our problems and worries. When you trust Al-Wakeel, the One who is absolute in His perfection and His trustworthiness is perfect: then you truly have nothing to worry about. So trust your affairs to Al-Wakeel.
Put your Creator first. Make Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala your emergency call.

Importance of Ilm [Knowledge]
"The Seeking of knowledge is obligatory for EVERY Muslim."
Only by seeking, do we acquire knowledge, and only with the acquisition of knowledge do we find truth and guidance.
"Seek knowledge, because seeking it for the sake of Allah is a worship. And knowing it makes you more God-fearing; and searching for it is jihad, teaching it to those who do not know is charity, reviewing and learning it more is like tasbeeh. Through knowledge Allah will be known and worshipped. With the knowledge Allah will elevate people and make them leaders and imams, who will in turn guide other people." [Fatawa Ibn Taymiyya vol.10, p.39]
Only through the knowledge of our Lord can we truly love our Lord, and worship Him subhanahu wa ta'ala with true reverence. And only with the knowledge of Quran and Sunnah, through the knowledge of Islam and our deen, the teachings and the commandments, can we truly worship with excellence and devotion and come closer to our Lord subhanahu.
“It is only those who have knowledge amongst His slaves that fear Allah.” [Soorah Al-Fatir (35): 28]
